Guncannon (Mass production Model)
Available Starting Suits (EFF) Rx-77d

History Data: Deciding to produce and deploy medium-range fire support mobile suits to complement its close-combat RGM-79 GM units, the Earth Federation Forces take the plans and combat data from the RX-77-2 Guncannon prototype developed under "Project V" and refine the design for mass production. To cut costs, the costly and complicated Core Block System is removed, and the original Guncannon's expensive lunar titanium armor is replaced with more affordable titanium/ceramic composite armor. However, its performance is greatly increased with the addition of more verniers and more powerful rocket thrusters. Since the Guncannon has such heavy armor, it has no need for a shield and could carry two 90 or 100mm machine guns.

Technical and General Data:
Model number: RX-77D
Code name: Guncannon Mass Production Type
Unit type: mass production mid-range fire support mobile suit
Manufacturer: Earth Federation Forces
Operator: Earth Federation Forces
First deployment: UC 0079
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso
Dimensions: overall height 18.1 meters; head height 17.5 meters
Weight: empty 51.0 metric tons; max gross 70.2 metric tons
Armor materials: titanium/ceramic composite
Powerplant: Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor, output rated at 1410 kW
Propulsion: rocket thrusters: 3 x 26500 kg, 2 x 7000 kg; vernier thrusters/apogee motors: 5
Performance: maximum thruster acceleration 1.33 G; 180-degree turn time: 2.1 seconds; maximum ground running speed 78 km/h
Equipment and design features: sensors, range 7300 meters
Fixed armaments: 2 x 60mm vulcan gun, fire-linked, mounted in head; 2 x 200mm cannon, mounted in backpack over shoulders, can be fire-linked or fired independently
Optional hand armaments: 90mm machine gun, clip-fed, 20 rounds per clip; beam rifle, powered by rechargeable energy cap; 100mm machine gun, clip-fed

Combat Notes: Built for medium ranged combat, the Guncannon is the heavier armored ranged counterpart to the GM and GM Striker. It proivdes a good deal of fire power that can help it win ranged engagements. However, it completely lacks any form of Close range armament or countermeasure, and is much slower then the GM or GM striker. Coupled with this, is the limited ammo of the main cannons, the name sake of the Guncannon. Experienced pilots will have to learn to use them conservatively or otherwise find them as nothing but dead weight. -1 for repair and replace rolls

Guntank (Mass production Type)
Available Starting Suits (EFF) Rx-75

History Data: A few years before the outbreak of the One Year War, word of the Principality of Zeon's new "mobile suit" weapons reaches the ears of Earth Federation intelligence. Upon launching their "Project V" in UC 0075, the Federation Forces begin their own mobile suit development project, and their earliest effort is the RX-75-4 Guntank. Although it has a mobile suit body, head and arms, it doesn't have a mobile suit's walking legs, being mounted instead on a caterpillar-driven tank-like base. It also doesn't have manipulator hands, and in a sense, the Guntank is more of a traditional tank than it is a mobile suit. However, the Federation decides to put the unit into mass production. The RX-75 Guntank Mass Production Type is very similar to the prototype version, although the most notable difference is the removal of the expensive and complicated Core Block System. Although the loss of the Core Fighter reduces the pilot's chances of bailing out alive, it does allow the body to be built to perform a "torso twist," thus making the Guntank's upper body able to turn to face different targets while its drive base continues traveling in one direction. The mounts for the shoulder cannons are also made "universal," capable of mounting different types of cannons, weapons or other equipment. Some are refitted for armored recovery and have their artillery cannons replaced by crane arms, and a dozer blade attached to the drive base.

Technical Data:
Model number: RX-75
Code name: Guntank Mass Production Type
Unit type: artillery mobile suit
Manufacturer: Earth Federation Forces
Operator: Earth Federation Forces
First deployment: UC 0079
Accommodation: pilot/driver in standard cockpit in torso; copilot/gunner in canopy-style cockpit in head
Dimensions: overall height 15.6 meters; head height 15.0 meters
Weight: empty 56.0 metric tons; max gross 80.0 metric tons
Powerplant: Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor, output rated at 878 kW
Propulsion: engine-driven caterpillar treads: 2; rocket thrusters: total output unknown
Equipment and design features: sensors, range 6000 meters
Optional Equipment: 2x crane arm with heavy lifting winch, replaces 120mm cannons, 1x dozer blade, attached to glacis plate
Fixed armaments: 2 x 120mm cannon, fire-linked, mounted on backpack over shoulders; 2 x 4-barrel machine gun, mounted on arms

Combat notes: Built almost entirely for long range and artillery support roles, the Guntank is not at all built to confront mobile suits in medium ranged combat, and are as good as dead within close combat. However, due to their design being more of a tank then a mobile suit, the Guntank enjoys having an easier time finding replacement parts and being replaced entirely due to their simple design and abundance. +3 to repair and Replace rolls

GM
Available Starting Suits (EFF) Rgm-79

History Data: Not initially taking the threat of "mobile suits" seriously, the Earth Federation Forces are a latecomer during the One Year War when it comes to the development and production of its own mobile suits to counter the Principality of Zeon. Based on combat data from the RX-78-2 Gundam's "learning computer" system and experimental GM-type units such as the RGM-79[E] GM Precession Type, the Federation's first true mass-production unit is simply named the RGM-79 GM. The production-model GM is basically a simplified version of the original Gundam, eliminating some of the more complex and expensive features - such as the Core Block System and using normal titanium alloy armor instead of lunar titanium - to make its production faster and more economical. The GM only carries one beam saber instead of two, and has optional hand armaments of either a 100mm machine gun or a short-range - but highly effective - beam spray gun.

Technical and General Data:
Model number: RGM-79
Code name: GM
Unit type: mass production general purpose mobile suit
Manufacturer: Earth Federation Forces
Operator: Earth Federation Forces
First deployment: UC 0079
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso
Dimensions: overall height 18.5 meters; head height 18.0 meters
Weight: empty 41.2 metric tons; max gross 58.8 metric tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Powerplant: Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor, output rated at 1250 kW
Propulsion: rocket thrusters: 2 x 24000 kg, 4 x 1870 kg
Performance: maximum thruster acceleration 0.94 G; 180-degree turn time 1.6 seconds; maximum ground running speed 102 km/h
Equipment and design features: sensors, range 6000 meters
Fixed armaments: 2 x 60mm vulcan gun, fire-linked, mounted in head; beam saber, power rated at 0.38 MW, stored in recharge rack in backpack, hand-carried in use
Optional fixed armaments: beam saber, power rated at 0.38 MW, stored in recharge rack in backpack, hand-carried in use
Optional hand armaments: BR-M-79C-1 beam spray gun, powered by rechargeable energy cap; 100mm machine gun, clip-fed; shield; bazooka, stored in bazooka rack behind right shoulder; HFW-GR·MR82-90mm machine gun, clip-fed, 20 rounds per clip, 2 spare clips stored in shield

Combat notes: And all rounder similar to the Zaku II, the GM is the mainstay of the EFF for good reason other then it's cheap and ease of manufacturing. +1 to Repair and Replace rolls

GM Striker
Available Starting Suits (EFF) Rgm-79fp-test

History Data: A close-combat variant of the RGM-79C GM Type C, the GM Striker features heavy armor that can withstand most light weapons used by Zeon mobile suits. The GM Striker focuses on close combat with only a standard 100mm machine gun to engage in range combat. For melee combat, however, it has a choice between a standard beam saber, a spike shield, and a long twin beam spear that was based on the RX-78-2 Gundam's beam javelin. The reach of the twin beam spear makes it very effective counter to the MS-07B Gouf's heat rod. It features improved thrusters on the legs with higher output to increase its combat capabilities.

Technical and General Data:
Model Number: RGM-79FP
Code name: Gm Striker
Unit type: close combat mobile suit
Overall height: 18.0 meters
Base weight: 44.1 metric tons
Full weight: 76.3 metric tons
Power generator output: 1250 kW
Total thuster output: 92000 kg
Armor: titanium-ceramic composite
Armament: beam saber x 1, vulcan gun x 2, 100mm machine gun x 1, twin beam spear x 1, spike shield x 1

Combat Notes: The GM strike rwas built for one purpose and one purpose only, close combat superiority. With barely anything to use in medium or long range combat besides it's 100mm machine gun, pilots will be forced to get into the thick of it if they wish to be of use. With it's armor and melee weaponry, it can stand toe to toe with the Gouf at close range, and may even have the advantage. However, if kept at a distance, the suit is effectively nothing but a moving target. -2 to repair and Replace roles
