Zaku I
Available Starting Suits (Zeon) Ms-05b-topp

Historical notes: Introduced in UC 0075, the MS-05B Zaku I is the Principality of Zeon's first true mass production mobile suit. Although designed as a front line combat unit, the Zaku I is soon replaced by the improved MS-06F Zaku II as the mainstay of Zeon's mobile suit forces. Though it isn't placed on the frontlines much anymore, this machine can still be quite effective, and can be a true asset when used right on the battle field.

Technical and General Data:
Model number: MS-05B
Code name: Zaku I
Unit type: mass production general purpose mobile suit
Manufacturer: Zeonic Company
Operator(s): Principality of Zeon; civilians
Rollout: May UC 0075
First deployment: July UC 0075

Dimensions: head height 17.5 meters
Weight: empty 50.3 metric tons; max gross 65.0 metric tons
Armor materials: super-hard steel alloy
Powerplant: Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor, output rated at 899 kW
Propulsion: rocket thrusters: 2 x 19500 kg, 2 x 850 kg
Performance: maximum thruster acceleration 0.63 G; 180-degree turn time 2.9 seconds; maximum ground running speed 65 km/h
Equipment and design features: sensors, range 2900 meters
Fixed armaments: none
Optional hand armaments: 105mm machine gun, drum-fed, 100 rounds per drum, spare drums can be stored on waist armor racks; ZMP-47D/120mm machine gun, drum-fed, 100 rounds per drum, spare drums can be stored on waist armor racks; H&L-SB21K/280mmA-N Zaku bazooka, 4 round magazine, can be stored on rack on rear waist armor; heat hawk Type3, battery powered, can be stored on waist armor racks; G-3 nerve gas grenade launcher

Combat Notes: While inferior to it's Zaku 2 counter part many ways, the Zaku 1 boasts a far simpler design that allows it to be repaired far quicker then any other mobile suit in the military. This, coupled with it's much smaller size, mean a pilot in this suit will likely last a bit longer then other mobile suits, if only because the enemy views them as a lesser threat. And do to the abundance of Zaku 1 suits not in combat roles, should the pilot be shot down and survive, replacing the Zaku 1 will be a trivial matter.  With it's added ease of being modified exceeding any other mobile suit, as well as its access to less than standard modifications, can lead some veteran pilots preferring the model over the newer models. +10 to repair and replace rolls

Zaku II
Available Starting Suits (Zeon) Ms-06f

Historical Notes: Introduced early during the One Year War as a replacement for the C-type Zaku II, the F-type is the most heavily mass-produced version of the Zaku II line and serves as the mainstay of the Zeon military. It's the F-type that is also the most well-known version of Zeon's mobile suit forces. Although fully capable of operating on Earth, the F-type is designed primarily for space combat (although the F-type does see limited use in Earth-based ground combat). A nearly identical variant of the F-type, the J-type, is designed and employed as a ground combat units

Technical and General Data:
Model number: MS-06F
Code name: Zaku II
Unit type: mass production general purpose mobile suit
Manufacturer: Zeonic Company
Operator(s): Principality of Zeon
First deployment: March UC 0079

Optional hand armaments: ZMP-50D/120mm machine gun, drum-fed, 100 rounds per drum, spare drums can be stored on waist armor racks; H&L-SB25K/280mmA-P Zaku bazooka, 4 round magazine, can be stored on rack on rear waist armor; heat hawk Type5, battery powered, can be stored on waist armor racks; MIP-B6 cracker grenade, can be stored on optional storage rack on waist armor racks

Combat Notes: An all around good mobiles suit, earning it's place as Zeon mainstay Mobile suit. This suit was made famous by the Zeon ace pilot, Char Aznable, A.K.A. "The Red Comet". +7 to repair and replace rolls

Zaku Cannon
Available Starting Suits (Zeon) Ms-06k

Historical Data:  Inspired by the mix of close combat (RX-78-2 Gundam) and fire support (RX-77-2 Guncannon) mobile suits, the J-12-type Zaku II project is changed in scope, becoming the anti-MS support unit MS-06K Zaku Cannon. The Zaku Cannon sports some new features in addition to its backpack-mounted, over-the-shoulder 180mm cannon. In addition to the cannon-equipped backpack being able to be exchanged for a standard J-type backpack to improve performance when the cannon isn't necessary, the head also features a 360-degree monoeye for increased vision and target acquisition, and additional thrusters in the legs to overcome the added weight and encumbrance of the cannon.

Technical and General Data:
Model number: MS-06K
Code name: Zaku Cannon
Unit type: mass production artillery test type mobile suit
Manufacturer: Zeonic Company
Operator: Principality of Zeon, Earth Federation Forces
First deployment: UC 0079
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso
Dimensions: overall height 18.4 meters; head height 17.7 meters
Weight: empty 59.1 metric tons; max gross 83.2 metric tons
Powerplant: Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor, output rated at 976 kW
Propulsion: rocket thrusters: 41000 kg total
Performance: maximum thruster acceleration 0.49 G; maximum ground running speed 73 km/h
Equipment and design features: sensors, range 4400 meters
Fixed armaments: 180mm cannon, mounted on backpack over right shoulder; 2-tube smoke discharger
Optional fixed armaments: 2 x 2-tube rocket launcher, mounted on torso; Gatling gun, replaces 180mm cannon over right shoulder; 2 x 3-tube missile pod, mounted on legs
Optional Hand Armaments: 105mm machine gun, drum-fed, 100 rounds per drum, spare drums can be stored on waist armor racks; heat hawk Type3, battery powered, can be stored on waist armor racks

Combat Notes: Built off the Zaku I chassis, the Zaku cannon is a Anti-MS dedicated unit that can act as artillery similarly to the Federation Guntank. It sports better armor then a Zaku I, but the cannon it uses has a powerful recoil, which can damage the unit if used to much in a single engagement. Luckily, the cannon can be removed to improve performance, and allows the extra thrusters in possess to make it move much faster then standard contemporary units. When the cannon is equipped however, the mobile suit is restricted to carrying only a single additional weapon, as the added weight can lower performance and damage the unit from the strain. +5 to repair and replace rolls

Gouf
Available Starting Suits (Zeon) Ms-07b

Historical Data: Designed as a high-performance replacement for the MS-06J Zaku II Ground Combat Type, the ground combat MS-07B Gouf becomes famous during the One Year War at the hands of Zeon ace pilot Ramba Ral. Though his personal Gouf is technically a prototype (possibly the YMS-07B), the production model Gouf which comes off the assembly line shortly thereafter is identical. This fully-equipped production model B-type Gouf immediately follows a limited production run of A-type Goufs, which are produced without the built-in armaments of the standard B-types due to a parts shortage. The Gouf is armed with a five-fingered machine gun for a left hand and a deadly tentacle-like "heat rod" on its right arm, which can be used as either a superheated slicing weapon or a grappling weapon with an electric shock effect. The Gouf can also carry all of the standard Zaku hand armaments, notably the standard 120mm machine gun.

Technical and General Data:
Model number: MS-07B
Code name: Gouf
Unit type: mass production ground combat mobile suit
Manufacturer: Zeonic Company
Operator: Principality of Zeon
First deployment: UC 0079
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso
Dimensions: overall height 18.7 meters; head height 18.2 meters
Weight: empty 58.5 metric tons; max gross 75.4 metric tons
Powerplant: Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor, output rated at 1034 kW
Propulsion: rocket thrusters: 40700 kg total
Performance: maximum thruster acceleration 0.54 G; maximum ground running speed 99 km/h
Equipment and design features: sensors, range 3600 meters
Fixed armaments: 5-barrel 75mm machine gun, barrels mounted as left hand fingers; heat rod, retractable, variable heat/electric shock charge, mounted in right forearm
Optional fixed armaments: shield, mounted on left forearm
Optional hand armaments: 120mm machine gun, drum-fed, 100 rounds per drum; heat sword Type-βIV, battery powered, stored in shield, hand-carried in use; H&L-SB25K/280mmA-P Zaku bazooka, 4 round magazine

Combat Notes: While superior then the previous mobile suits in most every way, the Gouf suffers a few major flaws that can lead many to consider using a different model. For starters, due to it's relatively new design, the Gouf is extremely limited in both numbers and parts. If a pilot is shot down and survives the ordeal, they are not likely to get another Gouf for quite some times, and repairs to their Gouf can take a long time to complete, due to the scarcity of parts and their high demand by other Gouf pilots. Also hurting the Goufs case is a complete lack of long range weaponry, relegated to mid to close range combat exclusively with no real counter to long range combat. Finally, the mobile suit is far harder to control then previous models, meaning new users will have trouble handling the beast in combat. +3 to repair and replace rolls
